Dragon's Nous is the best staff in the game. Dragon's Nous is the most powerful Staff in Dragon's Dogma 2. It's infused with dragon's power, casting an exceptionally high magickal attack and enhancing the wielder's spells to extremely high levels. Because of this immense power, it's only available at the end game - after you beat the game. This staff can only be used by Mage and Warfarer vocations.
A staff worthy of its namesake. Filled near to bursting with the dragon's power, its magicks mingle with the wielder's and heighten them beyond belief.

Smithing Upgrade Guide
Every weapon can be enhanced three times at an armoury or smithy, each time for gold and the materials listed below, and a fourth time with Wyrmfire. Any armoury or smithy works on weapons and armour alike. Each smith works in one style, and you can mix styles from one level to the next.
- Vermundian raises every attribute moderately. Armouries and smithies in Vermund offer it, such as Roderick's Smithy and Bjorn's Armory in Vernworth.
- Elven raises Magick and Magick Defense greatly, Strength and Defense only a little. Grisha's Armory in Sacred Arbor offers it.
- Battahli raises Strength and Defense greatly, Magick and Magick Defense only a little. Armouries in Battahl offer it, such as Awaran's Arms and Bodas's Armory in Bakbattahl.
- Dwarven raises Knockdown Power and Knockdown Resistance. Sara at Brokkr's Smithy offers it after Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge, and Gautstafr after Put a Spring in Thy Step.
- Wyrmfire halves the weight and gives a further boost once the first three enhancements are done. The Dragonforged at Bay Wayside Shrine takes payment in Wyrmslife Crystals instead of gold.

Taking Dragon's Nous to level 3 costs 35,250 G in all, whichever style you choose. Elven smithing gives it the most Magick at level 3 (644), while Dwarven gives the most Knockdown Power (210). Wyrmfire then costs 15 Wyrmslife Crystals.
