Eventide Mask is a mask made from the skin of a reptile. It is a key piece for the story, because it gets the Arisen into the palace masquerade in Vernworth. Guests wear it at the masquerades to stay anonymous.

Captain Brant hands it over at the start of The Stolen Throne, a main quest in Vernworth.

How to Get Eventide Mask

  • Speak to Captain Brant at The Stardrop Inn in Vernworth at night.
  • Accept The Stolen Throne. Brant hands over the mask at once.

Eventide Mask Quest Guide

The Stolen Throne is a main quest given by Captain Brant in Vernworth. It begins on speaking to him at The Stardrop Inn at night. Brant hands over the Eventide Mask as soon as the quest is accepted.

  1. Accept the quest. Brant hands over the Eventide Mask.
  2. Get the Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breeches from The Ornate Box, or from the chest in the guest chambers on the second floor of Vernworth Castle.
  3. Equip the mask and both pieces of attire, then go to the masquerade hall in the Royal Quarter at night. The pawns wait at the edge of the quarter.
  4. Ask the soldier at the door whether a ball is on. Masquerades run every two nights, so rest at an inn if the hall is quiet.
  5. Step inside to trigger a cutscene of the false Sovran leaving the hall.
  6. Walk to the outer ring of the hall and find the stretch of wall that sits slightly recessed. Walk into it to open the hidden passage before dawn, as it closes at sunrise.
  7. Cross the small room beyond, go out through the double doors and follow the path outside to the Rose Chateau Bordelrie. Enter for a cutscene.
  8. Let Wilhelmina hide the Arisen from the guards and watch the scenes with Disa and Phaesus. She hands over the Myrmecoleon Card afterwards.
  9. Return to The Stardrop Inn at night and tell Brant what was seen to complete the quest.

Rewards: 900 XP, 6,500 G and a Wakestone Shard.
