Dragon's Dogma 2:Warrior
The Warrior class stands out as the epitome of brute force and raw power. These formidable combatants are characterized by their impressive physical stature and unparalleled endurance, enabling them to withstand the onslaught of enemy attacks with ease. Unlike their Fighter counterparts, Warriors eschew the protection of a shield, instead donning heavy armor that, combined with their robust constitution, provides them with the resilience needed to survive the thick of battle.
Warriors excel in wielding two-handed weapons, with the greatsword and hammer being their instruments of destruction. Their combat style is centered around charging their attacks to unleash singular, devastating strikes that can turn the tide of any confrontation. This ability to deliver powerful blows makes them one of the most fearsome vocations on the battlefield.
Moreover, the Warrior class is not just about sheer power. They possess unique skills that enable them to attack multiple adversaries with a single weapon swing, thereby offering a blend of offensive might and crowd control. This versatility is further enhanced by abilities such as the Barge, a quick shoulder bash that can interrupt and potentially stun opponents, setting them up for a crushing follow-up attack. Warriors also benefit from a passive skill that rewards precise timing with faster swings, adding a layer of skill and rhythm to their otherwise brute-force approach.
Despite their slower movements compared to other vocations, Warriors compensate with their ability to deliver the most destructive melee attacks in the game. This makes them an essential component of any party, capable of dealing significant damage and controlling the battlefield with their wide-reaching, powerful strikes.
How to Unlock the Warrior Vocation
Here's a step by step guide to unlock the Warrior Vocation early in Dragon's Dogma 2 (Alternatively you can watch the video guide below):
- Follow the main quest until you reach the city of Vernworth.
- Head to the Vernworth Vocation Guild, marked on the map by a symbol of a shield with two daggers infront.
- Speak to Klaus and ask him to change your Vocation. He will explain that their weapon shipment was stolen so you cannot currently change to a Warrior or Sorcerer. He will then give you the quest Vocation Vocation Frustration
- Head to the Merchants Quarter in the centre of town to speak with the weapon merchant Roderick, he will exsplain that goblins have stolen the equipment and have taken it to Trevo Mine, which will now be marked on your map.
- Once you arrive at Trevo Mine you can find the Two-Hander Greatsword in a chest within the mine. Return the sword to the Vernworth Vocation guild to unlock the warrior class.
