The Daedric Sword is one of the best Greatswords in Skyrim, it has the 2nd highest base damage of all of the two-handed weapon swords. Only the Dragonbone Greatsword is more powerful, dealing an additional 1 base damage. The Daedric Greatsword is typically wielded by Dremora and has a demonic appearance, the blade is serrated on both sides with a dim red glow illuminating the blade and grip.

How to Get the Daedric Greatsword Guide
Where to find the Daedric Greatsword Location?
Their are multiple methods to get Daedric Weapons early in Skyrim.
- A Daedric Greatsword can be crafted without smithing by using the Atronach Forge. To do this you must complete the quest Conjuration Ritual Spell which requres level 90 conjuration skill and the Sigil Stone which is obtained during the quest. Once you have these tools you can craft the Daedric Mace at the Atronach Forge under the College of Winterhold.
- Another method to get a Daedric Greatsword early without the smithing skill, is to Purchase it from the Dremora Merchant with the Black Market power.
- You can level up your smithing skill to level 90 and get the Daedric Smithing perk. The Daedric Greatsword can then be crafted at a blacksmith’s forge using the following materials: Ebony Ingot, Daedra Heart, Leather Strips.
- Unenchanted Daedric Greatswords can be found as random loot in chests after you reach level 46+ and enchanted Daedric Greatswords can be found at level 47+. However the chance of them appearing are very low. Blacksmiths and general goods merchants have a chance to sell Daedric Greatsword. You can reset their inventory by saving the game, attacking them and then reloading.
Gameplay Tips and Tricks
Daedric Greatswords used to be the best Greatsword in the original version of Skyrim. The Dawnguard add-on introduces superior Dragonbone Greatswords which do an additional 1 damage but can typically only be obtained via the blacksmithing skill. They show up in leveled lists from level 46 (enchanted versions at level 47).

Some weapons in Skyrim are Levelled. The power of a levelled weapon is based on your charcters level when you get them. Some get stronger in both physical and magical aspects, while others only improve their enchantments. These items don't get better as your character levels up.
