The Poacher's Axe is a unique woodcutter's axe that can be found in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. It can be used for both combat and as a tool for chopping wood. Strangely the Axe has a swing speed of 1.3, making it the fastest swinging axe in the game.
Weapon Enchantment
The Poacher's Axe has a unique enchantemtn called "Huntsman's Prowess", which does an additional 3 points of damage against animals. Unlike most other unique weapon enchantments the Poacher's Axe can be disenchanted and the effect applied to another weapon, like a hunting bow.

How to get the Poacher's Axe Location?
Where to find the Poacher's Axe Location?
To get the Poacher's axe in Skyrim you must travel to the Halted Stream Camp North West from the city of Whiterun. The Orc bandit chief at this location wields the Unique Axe and it can be looted from him once he is defeated. If you miss this weapon it will actually respawn with him if it was not originally picked up by the Dragonborn.

Weapon Levels
Some weapons in Skyrim are Levelled. The power of a levelled weapon is based on your charcters level when you get them. Some get stronger in both physical and magical aspects, while others only improve their enchantments. These items don't get better as your character levels up.
The Poacher's Axe is not a leveled weapon.
