- The best weapon for Damage per second in Skyrim is the The Longhammer. Its a unique version of the [[Skyrim:|Orchish Warhammer|Orchish Warhammer]] with a faster attack speed which can also be obtained at level 1.
Weapon Enchantment
- The Longhammer swings 30% faster than a regular warhammer, outperforming a Daedric warhammer in damage per second. Its unique effect isn't considered an enchantment, making it compatible with the Elemental Fury shout, which can increace your attack speed by a further 100%.
- The Longhammer can be enchanted it at an arcane enchanter. Thanks to its 30% attack speed bonus it will apply any enchantments much faster than most weapons. With the Extra Effect perk, you can add multiple different effects to the weapon.

How to Get the The Longhammer?
Where to find the The Longhammer Location?
The Londhammer location is in Liar’s Retreat in the southern part of The Reach, north-northwest of Karthwasten and west of Broken Tower Redoubt on the map. You can get the unique Longhammer from the body of a dead Breton barkeeper within Liar’s Retreat Den.
Gameplay Tips and Tricks
- The Longhammer is an excellent weapon for two handed character builds early on due to its extremely fast attack speed (The Longhammer has 30% increased attack speed which gives it a higher damage per secound than Dragonbone Warhammer.
- The Elemental Fury shout can be used to increase your attack speed by 100%, since the Longhammer does not count as being enchanted. Enchanting the weapon will stop this effect.
- The Longhammer can be enchanted with multiple enchantments that can be applied abnormally fast with the weapons fast attack speed.
