The Woodsman's Friend is a unique version of the Two-handed weapon Iron Battleaxe that does slightly more damage and but takes longer to swing. Because of this, it actually has a lower damage per second overall. The weapon is hidden in an unmarked wilderness location in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim.

Where to find the The Woodsman's Friend Location?

The Woodsman’s Friend's Axe is hidden in an unmarked location in Skyrim. To get the weapon you need to travel to Falkreath Hold. The axe is located directly north from Pinewatch towards Lake Ilinalta, just southwest of the unmarked Conjurer’s Altar. In this area you will find some felled trees whith a dead Woodcutter at the base of a tree who has the Woodsman's Friend, it may be hidden in the grass.

Here is a step by step guide to get the Woodsman’s Friend:

Locate Pinewatch (Falkreath Hold)
Follow the path north, through the pass and towards the Lake Ilinalta to the north.
Stop when you arrive at the first set of felled trees (just to the right of the trail).
Walk along the felled trees
You will find an un=felled tree on the left (closest to the rocks), near a dead woodcutter.
The axe is in the grass (slightly hidden) at the base of the tree.
