The Trollsbane is a unique weapon in Skyrim. Its a variant of the two-handed Steel Warhammer.

Weapon Enchantment

Trollsbane has a unique encahntment effect that Burns Trolls for 15 points of fire damage on hit. This damage can be furtrher increased with the Augmented Flames Perk.

The weapons encahntemnt can be used 83 time before it needs to be recharged.

Trollsbain cannot be disenchanted to learn its unique effect.

How to Get the Trollsbane?

Where to find the Trollsbane Location?

To get the Trollsbane warhammer in Skyrim, you need to visit Cradle Stone Crag, below the crags tower you will find a hidden trolls den, which is not marked on the map. The den is located directly west of Cradle Stone Tower and directly east of Valthume. Once you reach the den, you will find the weapon on the corpse of the ironically named NPC Frofnir Trollsbane.

Gameplay Tips and Trivia

Since Trollsbain is only effective against Trolls, which are quite rare compared to most enemies in Skyrim, it is theirfor not a very useful weapon overall. The Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls is a far better alternative two handed weapon to get early.
It's quite unusual that a character named Fronfnir Trollsbane, armed with a weapon designed to defeat trolls, ended up being killed by those same enemies. It's possible that when Fronfnir died, he channelled all his hatred for trolls into the steel warhammer and enchanted it with his determination.
