The Split bolt is a piercing crossbow bolt in a Magic crafted version and a Relic version. The crafted version deals 9-11 piercing with +10 silver at level 8. The Relic version deals 13-15 piercing with +14 silver at level 13.

The Relic version adds 4 piercing and 4 silver over the crafted one. Both versions add raw piercing and silver damage to a crossbow build.

When to Use It

Both versions are early game, at levels 8 and 13. Shops sell the Relic version from level 20.

How to Get Split bolt

Magic (crafted): Find Diagram: Split bolt at a random diagram location, or buy it from the Fish Market blacksmith, the Silverton blacksmith or Éibhear Hattori. Each craft makes a stack of 20. Dead soldiers by the White Orchard griffin's nest carry 5-10 bolts.
Relic: From level 20, buy them from the blacksmith at Kaer Trolde citadel or Éibhear Hattori. 10 are always in the gargoyle's cave during Wandering in the Dark, and 20 sit in each of the four Velen deserter bandit camps.
