Knight Fight is a browser MMORPG released by RedMoon Studios in 2006 (later published by CRATR.games). It won German Browser Game of the Year in 2007. You create one knight on one server and slowly build him up over weeks and months. The entire game revolves around the conflict between the Knights of Light and the Dark Hordes. You never pick a side at registration. Alignment is a number that shifts based on what your knight actually does, and that number decides which gear the merchant is willing to sell you.

Base Mechanics

Your knight has five attributes: Strength, Stamina, Dexterity, Fighting Ability and Parry. All five start at 5. You buy more points with gold, and the cost rises fast, so early points are cheap while later ones take real grinding.

Separately, every level gives you three skill points. Those go into three skill lines that gate equipment: one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, and armour.

Fights play out in rounds. One roll decides if the hit lands or gets parried. A second roll decides damage after absorption. Drop below 10 health and you flee and lose. The knight who dealt more total damage wins and takes 5 to 10 % of the loser’s gold. Stamina decides how many rounds you can last, which is why a heavy weapon that drains stamina can sometimes be the worse choice.

After any fight (win or lose) you get a 60-minute protection timer. That hour is the rhythm of the game: fight to start the timer, spend the hour on missions or tavern jobs, then fight again before it runs out. The same opponent can only be attacked once every 12 hours.

Gold buys everything. You earn it from tavern work, missions, won fights, and a bonus on every level-up. Gems (MoonCoins) are the real-money currency and can be converted into gold, premium time, or gear.

Gear and Builds

Equipment is split into seven categories. You carry one weapon: either a one-handed weapon plus a shield, or a two-handed weapon with nothing in the off-hand. That choice defines the whole build. Shield builds live by cutting incoming damage. Two-handers try to end the fight before the enemy can answer.

Armour is what makes Dexterity actually useful, since the dexterity bonus does almost nothing without it. You can wear two rings and one amulet. The amulet is the only slot that can resist elemental damage.

Soul stones are socketed into a weapon at the blacksmith (up to three). They add ice, fire, lightning, shadow, holy or dragon damage to every hit. An opposing amulet can cancel those elements one by one. The blacksmith can also sharpen a weapon three times, each time adding one point of maximum damage.

Weapons and armour are locked behind skill points. Rings, amulets and soul stones are locked behind level. Most gear is sold by the merchant. The rest appears at the bazaar, which rotates its stock every day.
