In Starfield number of different armor effects can applied to armor sets (helmet, spacesuit or pack) based on their rarity level. Both weapons and armor sets have different rarity levels like: Rare, Epic, Legendary. Each of these levels comes with several possible armor effects listed in the table below. Note that weapon effects are different to armor effects.

Armor effects are randomised when you find the armor. You can keep reloading to before you picked up or killed an enemy wielding a legendary weapon or armor set until you get the legendary effects that best match your character build. However, uniquely named armor sets always have fixed effects that cannot be altered. Unique armor however will always come with randomised armor effects.

The difficulty you play on will increase your chance of obtaining legendary weapons and armor sets by 0.5% on Hard difficulty and 1% on Very Hard difficulty.

Analyzer 10% damage to scanned targets
Anti-Ballistic -15% incoming Physical damage from ranged weapons
Antiseptic 25 Airborne Resistance
Armor-Plated -10% incoming Physical, Energy, and EM damage
Assisted Carry Drain 75% less O2 when running while encumbered
Auto-medic Automatically use a Med Pack when hit and health is below 25%, once every 60 seconds
Beast Hunter -15% damage from Alien enemies
Bolstering Grants up to +100 Energy resistance and Physical resistance, the lower your health
Chameleon Blend with the environment while sneaking and not moving
Combat Veteran -15% damage from Human enemies
Fastened 20 carry capacity
Galvanized 25 Corrosive Resistance
Hacker 2 max auto attempts that can be banked while hacking
Headhunter Deals +25% damage on the next attack after hitting a target's head
Leadlined 25 Radiation Resistance
Liquid Cooled 25 Thermal Resistance
Mechanized 40 carry capacity
Mirrored 4% chance to reflect attacks
O2 Booster 20% oxygen capacity
O2 Filter -25% oxygen consumption
Peacemaker Rifles do 10% more damage
Reactive 10% chance to stagger nearby attackers
Repulsing 5% chance to disarm nearby attackers
Resource Hauler Resources weigh 25% less
Sensor Chip 20% accuracy while firing on the move
Sentinel 75% chance to reduce damage by 50% while standing still
Sturdy -15% incoming melee damage
Technician -15% damage from Robot enemies
Weapon Holsters Weapons weigh 50% less
