A Tome Entombed is a secondary quest in the passages under Novigrad. Geralt meets a scholar who digs for traces of lost cultures. The professor asks for help lifting the lid of an ancient sarcophagus. Inside lies a living vampire who only wants to finish his rest.
A Tome Entombed Map Location and Quest Guide
A Tome Entombed map location:
- Go down into the passages under Novigrad.
- Find the professor at the ancient sarcophagus.
- Agree to help the professor with the sarcophagus.
- Push the lid off the sarcophagus.
- Return to Professor Vairmont to open it again, if Geralt refused at first.
- Kill the vampire.

Choices
The vampire is calm at first and asks to be left alone. The professor will not leave him in peace. Once the lid comes off again, the vampire attacks, and Geralt has to kill him.
