It sits in the chest at the end of the treasure hunt Inheritance in Boxholm, Skellige. The sword rolls its level as it drops, so it can suit any point in the game.
It also rolls +1-4% crit chance and a 1-2% chance to dismember. Each copy rolls its own values inside these ranges.

- Go to Boxholm and find the body near a dead bear just north of the signpost.
- Kill the devourers if they roam the area.
- Loot the body for a key and the old, yellowed letter, then read the letter.
- Enter the ruined house just northwest of the body and loot the chest for Bloodsword.
