Maria Louisa La Valette is a Temerian baroness who now lives in a villa in Novigrad. She was once the mistress of King Foltest. Geralt meets her at her estate during the quest Broken Flowers.
Lore
In her day, the baroness was the talk of Temeria. She was King Foltest's mistress and bore him two children out of wedlock. The scandal led several noble families to rise in revolt. The king's forces crushed them in blood and took La Valette Castle after a hard siege.
Geralt was with King Foltest during that siege, and her feelings toward him depend on what he did there. If Geralt saved her son Aryan from punishment for his part in the revolt, the baroness thinks highly of the witcher. If Aryan fell to Geralt's sword while defending his mother's honor, she holds a deep hatred for him. Either way, her feelings show plainly the next time they meet.
Story
In Broken Flowers, Geralt goes to the La Valette estate in Novigrad to find Molly, one of Dandelion's lovers, who works there. At the estate he meets the baroness and Morvran Voorhis. The conversation changes depending on whether Aryan lived or died.
Relationships
King Foltest was her lover and fathered two of her children. Aryan is her eldest son.
