Trail of Echoes is a short secondary quest at Kaer Morhen. It starts when Geralt enters the cave at the end of the path northwest of the keep. Monsters have moved into the cave. Deep inside lies an old witcher laboratory.

1. Follow the path northwest of Kaer Morhen to its end.
2. Kill the monsters outside the cave.
3. Enter the cave.
4. Follow the tunnel and kill the monsters on the way.
5. Explore the laboratory with Witcher Senses.
6. Examine the old equipment until the quest ends.
