Cal Hampton is Jason Duval's friend in Grand Theft Auto VI. He is also an associate of the veteran smuggler Brian Heder. Cal is a casual conspiracy theorist who trusts very little of what he sees. He feels safest at home with a few beers close at hand. For fun, he listens in on Coast Guard radio traffic. Cal is happy at the low end of American life, while Jason dreams of more.
What if everything on the internet was true?
Story
Cal spends most of his time at home, away from the wider world. His evenings involve cold beer and a stack of private browser tabs. From the safety of his house, he keeps an ear on radio channels he should not hear. Paranoia is a normal part of his everyday life. He has doubts about birds that fly in perfect formation. Cal also believes that psychopaths run the world, and he has made his peace with it. Cal is content to stay exactly where he is in life. His friend Jason, however, has much bigger plans.
Cal does get out of the house now and then. He goes out drinking at a bar with Jason and Lucia Caminos. On that night out, he asks Lucia whether she has any friends for him.
Relationships
Jason Duval is Cal's close friend and drinking partner. The two share beers and play pool together at a local bar. Like Jason, Cal works for the smuggler Brian Heder. Brian counts Cal among the associates who handle his business. Cal also spends time with Lucia Caminos when the three go out together.

Notes
Cal likes a round of mini golf as much as a game of pool. He is happy to float around a pool with a drink in hand.
