Ice Ponds are resource nodes in the Deep North that you mine for Ice.

Where to Find It

Up to 40 Ice Ponds spawn in each world. They sit away from the edges of the Deep North, at an altitude of 10 to 200 metres and at least 128 metres apart, on nearly flat ground with a terrain delta of at most 1.5 metres.

What's Inside

A pickaxe of any tier can mine an Ice Pond, and only a pickaxe damages it. Each pond has 100 parts that drop 1 to 3 Ice each, so a full pond gives about 200 Ice. Some of the ice blocks are hidden below the ground around the border.
