From a Land Far, Far Away is a secondary quest that starts in Skellige. On a small isle east of Redgill, Geralt finds a body and a diary. The diary was written by refugees from a land far beyond the sea. Their ship was wrecked, and nobody knows what became of the passengers. Geralt hopes some of them survived.

- Find the body on the small isle east of Redgill.
- Read the diary found on the body.
- Dive for the sunken chest mentioned in the diary.
- Follow the trail to Velen and find out what became of the second ship.
- Search the area around the wreck for any sign of survivors.
- Find the woman the indecipherable message is addressed to.
- Talk to the foreign woman, who speaks an unknown tongue.
- Give her the message, unless the warrior was met first.
Choices
In a village in Velen, Geralt can meet a warrior with a strange accent. He is looking for a woman from the same far-off land. He says she kidnapped a child, and that he was sent to find and punish her. When the warrior and the woman meet, Geralt must decide whose side to take.
Notes
Talking to the warrior first changes how the meeting with the woman plays out.
