Choices
Hughes is using the stones to please a married woman. Her husband soon storms in. If the husband knocks Geralt out, the stones are lost and the statue stays broken.
Geralt can take the stones back at once, or lend them to Hughes for one day. Either way, the statue is made whole again. The curator is delighted and pays with a Reginald Figurine.
Geralt can also let Hughes keep the stones. Hughes pays 50 crowns and promises the rest in a week. A week later, Hughes is dead. His heart gave out from overexertion, and Geralt is left with half his pay.
