Irina Renarde is an actress in Novigrad and the informal leader of a troupe of mummers known as the Foxen. Her theater stands in the Butchers' Yard, off the city's main square. Geralt works with her in the quest The Play's the Thing.

Lore

Irina's long career on the stage made her both the head of the Foxen and its brightest star. She is famous for her brilliant turns as the leading lady in comedies and tragedies alike. She made her name in acclaimed plays such as "Love in a Time of Contempt", "The Barber of Kovir" and "Seven Brides for Seven Emperors". Anyone with an interest in the arts knows her.

Story

In The Play's the Thing, Geralt needs to find the doppler Dudu, who has gone into hiding in an unknown form. Priscilla decides that a play with a hidden message is the best way to lure him out. Geralt takes her script to Irina at the Butchers' Yard. Irina agrees to the plan. She asks Geralt to hire ushers and to win over a group of street performers called the Puffins to spread the word. Geralt then casts the play, and Irina can take the role of the Princess. The show is no masterpiece, but it works. Dudu attends and reveals himself at the end, and Geralt questions him in Irina's room.

In Cabaret, Dandelion needs a prop sword for a staged fight, so he sends Geralt to borrow one from Madame Irina.

Relationships

Dudu counts Irina's troupe among his old friends, which is why the play draws him out. Priscilla writes the play that Irina stages.
