The Deliverer is a unique Pistols featured in the video game Fallout 4, known for its combination of stealth capabilities and combat effectiveness. This pre-War compact handgun comes with a silencer, making it an excellent choice for players who prefer a quiet approach. It was originally restored by Tinker Tom for another character, Tommy Whispers, a member of the Railroad faction.

Gameplay Use of the Deliverer

The Deliverer stands out for its superior performance over similarly modified 10mm pistols. It fires 10mm rounds and is equipped with a suppressor that, while reducing its effective range, ensures the gun remains silent. This makes it an ideal weapon for stealthy operations. Additionally, it features the V.A.T.S. Enhanced legendary effect, which improves hit chances in the game's Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (V.A.T.S.) and reduces the cost in action points for using the system, allowing for more frequent use.

Despite its advantages, the Deliverer does not support scope modifications, which limits its range and accuracy compared to other firearms. It compensates for this with minimal recoil, enabling rapid fire without significant loss of control. Players can also customize the grip for better accuracy and recoil management. The standard magazine holds 12 rounds, but this can be increased to 16 with custom magazines.

The inclusion of the Nuka-World add-on for Fallout 4 adds the potential for even greater damage output with the Deliverer when equipped with the Ace Operator perk, available if the player remains allied with the Operators faction. This perk boosts the damage further when the gun's suppressor is used, enhancing its utility in stealth combat scenarios.

Where to find the Deliverer

The Deliverer can be obtained as a reward from Deacon during the Railroad faction quest Tradecraft. You can follow this guide on how to get the weapon below:

You can start the quest 'Tradecraft,' after finding the Railroad faction by completing the Road to Freedom quest. Deacon will then give you mission Tradecraft.
Meet Deacon at the old highway, marked on your map. Deacon will brief you on the mission.
Follow Deacon and find the 'tourist,' an informant who gathers infomation for the Railroad.
Retake the Railroad's old base at Slocum's Joe, which is now crawling with older model Synths. You can use either the front or back entrance. Option 1 (Frontal Assault): Head to Slocum's Joe and attempt a frontal assault. Beware of frag mines and, if necessary, switch to Option 2 due to a powered-down elevator. Option 2 (Escape Tunnel): Use the escape tunnel marked on your map. Deacon will provide further details and unlock a security door. Disable defenses and navigate past or through synths.
Once inside Slocum's Joe: Disable additional security measures and collect valuable items, including a U.S. Covert Operations Manual, fusion core, Mini Nuke and hazmat suits.
Concluding the Mission: After collecting Carrington's prototype and other items, Decon will offer you the Deliverer pistol he found on the body of Tommy Whispers. He won't take no for an answer.
Return to Old North Church: Reunite with Deacon, who will have reported your exploits. You have the option to confirm or embellish the story to Desdemona.
Joining the Railroad: Desdemona will be impressed and extend an invitation to join the Railroad. You can accept and choose a code name or refuse, leaving the offer open. Accepting makes Deacon available as a companion.
