Rocksplinter is a unique pickaxe that was cut from the game before release. It was meant for Odfel, a miner in Shor's Stone, who still talks about owning it: he says he broke five or six pickaxes before it and now cuts through stone like butter. The axe itself was never placed in his inventory.
Weapon Enchantment
None. Rocksplinter cannot be enchanted and cannot be tempered, and at 1 damage it is a tool rather than a weapon in any case.
Where to Find the Rocksplinter
- In the unmodified game it cannot be obtained at all. Its references still exist in the world, which is why it appears in item lists.
- The Unofficial Skyrim Patch, version 1.2.7, puts it in Odfel's inventory, which is the only way to hold one.
Smithing Guide
Rocksplinter cannot be improved at a grindstone under any circumstances, with or without the Arcane Blacksmith perk.
Weapon Levels
Some weapons in Skyrim are Levelled. The power of a levelled weapon is based on your charcters level when you get them. Some get stronger in both physical and magical aspects, while others only improve their enchantments. These items don't get better as your character levels up.
