The UC Sec Starlaw armor set is one of the variants of the UC Sec Spacesuits worn by the United Colonies Faction ground force in Starfield. The left side of the armor set has bullet proof armor plates that are designed to defend the user against incoming ballistic fire while looking down the sights of a rifle. For this reason all of the UC security forces are trained to wield rifles with their right hand.

Armor Effects

This armor set has a chance to spawn with different rarity levels like: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary. Each of these levels comes with several possible Armor Effects. The chance of you finding a Legendary item is effected by the difficulty you are playing the game on.

Location/Quest

• To find the UC Sec Starlaw armor set you can defeat UC Security guards (even if they’re not visually wearing the armor set). Since the UC Security Guards are based on oxygenated planets, they will all visually be wearing the UC Security Outfits under their armor set, but their armor sets are still equipped, they do not appear visually until you defeat them and loot them for the armor set. Only some of them will drop the UC Sec Starlaw variant of the armor set so make sure to save before attempting to farm the armor set. You can find lots of (United Colonies) UC Security Guards in the City of New Atlantis on Planet Jemison in the Alpha Centauri System.
• To avoid incurring a bounty when defeating multuple UC Security Guards you can use the Social Skill Instigation to get each UC Guard to attack nearby allies until they are defeated, then you can loot them after.
• Note that you can get an Advanced or Superior armor set if you have a high character level of level 60, since the UC Security Guard are scaled to your character level.
• The UC Sec Starlaw Armor set does not appear to show up in randomised loot lists in Starfield.
• You cannot obtain this armor set from most weapon and armor vendors.

Armor Tier Level

Starfield has five Armor tier levels: Base, Calibrated, Advanced and Superior. The higher the tier, the better the armor rating of the armor set. As you level up, your chances of finding higher tier armor increase, defeating higher level enemies and playing on a harder difficulty setting will also increase the drop chance of best armor.
