Black Pearl is a secondary quest that starts in Novigrad and moves to Skellige. Nidas is an old soldier who once promised his wife a black pearl. He is too old to dive for one in the pearl beds of Skellige himself. He hires Geralt at The Golden Sturgeon to help him keep that promise.
Black Pearl Map Location and Quest Guide
Black Pearl map location:
- Talk to Nidas at The Golden Sturgeon in Novigrad.
- Meet Nidas near the collapsed bridge to the north of Arinbjorn.
- Follow Nidas to the pearl bed.
- Swim out past the sirens to the shells.
- Find a black pearl using Witcher Senses.
- Return to Nidas.
- Kill the drowners attacking him.
- Meet Nidas in The Golden Sturgeon to collect the reward.

Notes
- The Skellige half of the quest opens after the main quest Destination: Skellige.
- The quest fails if the drowners kill Nidas.
- Nidas's wife Letta can no longer remember or recognise anyone, and the pearl fails to bring back her memory.
