Funeral Pyres is a secondary quest in Velen. In No Man's Land, west of Mulbrydale, a priest of the Eternal Fire hires Geralt. The task is to burn the bodies of soldiers who fell in the recent battle. That keeps the necrophages from eating them. The priest has his own reasons for wanting the bodies gone.

Funeral Pyres map location:

1. Talk to the priest of the Eternal Fire on the road west of Mulbrydale.
2. Take the holy oil and accept the job.
3. Go to each of the three pits marked on the map, in any order.
4. Kill the ghouls around each pit.
5. Pour the oil on the bodies and set them alight with Igni.
6. At one pit, save the man fighting off the ghouls and talk to him.
7. Ask the man about the priest.
8. Return to the priest of the Eternal Fire.
9. Take the priest's bribe, or refuse it and fight him and his guards.

The man at the pit is a smuggler who sold fisstech to the priest. Burning the bodies would also burn the evidence of the priest's part in the fisstech trade.

Back at the priest, Geralt can keep quiet and take a bribe of 60 crowns. He can also refuse it. The priest and his guards then attack. The priest's body holds 200 crowns.
