Igni

Igni is a directed fiery blast that damages enemies. Its damage scales with Sign intensity. Igni deals fire damage and can set enemies Burning, damage over time that keeps hurting them.

How It Works

  • Igni deals fire damage and can apply Burning.
  • Igni ignites flammable gas clouds. The explosion damages nearby enemies.
  • Igni lights torches and campfires outside combat.
  • Igni works against beehives.
  • Igni helps hunt animals early on for meat and hides.

Firestream

Firestream is the alternate mode of Igni: a continuous stream of fire instead of a single blast. In Remastered it needs Melt Armor.

Before Remastered, its Stamina cost fell by 25% at level 2 and by 50% at level 3.

Igni Skills

Remastered rebuilt the skill trees with three ranks per skill. Firestream needs Melt Armor.

Skill Rank 1
Melt Armor Igni damage also reduces Armor, more at higher ranks; +10% Burning chance
Firestream Alternate mode: a continuous stream of fire
Catalyst Aard and Igni intensity +30% against enemies inside Yrden

Gear That Boosts Igni

  • The Glyph Of Igni armor upgrade gives +5% Igni Sign intensity.
  • The Dazhbog Runestone weapon upgrade gives a 3% chance to cause burning.
  • The Blave steel sword carries +24% Igni Sign intensity.
  • The Conductors of Magic mutation adds 50% of the drawn sword's damage to Sign damage, with a magic, unique or witcher sword.

Before Remastered

The old Igni line held Melt Armor, Firestream, Igni Intensity and Pyromaniac.

Skill Level 1 Level 2 Level 3

Firestream Stream of fire Stamina cost -25% Stamina cost -50%
Igni Intensity +5% +10% +15%

Old Melt Armor weakened enemy armor permanently, scaling with Sign intensity up to the cap shown.
