Oils

Oils go on Geralt's sword and add attack power against one family of enemies. Each family has its own oil, from Necrophage Oil to Hanged Man's Venom for humans and nonhumans. Every oil comes in three tiers, and the Superior tier adds +50% attack power.

How It Works

An oil boosts attack power only against the family it names. The base tier adds +10% and carries 20 charges. Enhanced adds +25% with 40 charges, and Superior adds +50% with 60 charges.

Most base oils start from Dog Tallow. An Enhanced oil is brewed from the base oil and Bear Fat. A Superior oil is brewed from the Enhanced one and Alchemy Paste.

Hanged Man's Venom is the oil for the steel sword, against humans and nonhumans. Each other oil targets one family: Beasts, Cursed Ones, Draconids, Elementa, Hybrids, Insectoids, Necrophages, Ogroids, Relicts, Specters and Vampires.
