Novigrad, Closed City is a secondary quest in Novigrad that opens after A Matter of Life and Death. The witch hunters now sweep the city for mages and anyone with pointed ears. The quest has two separate parts. One follows three former bandits and their hidden safe, and the other a gang hunting a missing companion.

Novigrad, Closed City Quest Guide

  1. Talk to Lussi in the upper middle of St. Gregory's Bridge, near Temple Isle.
  2. Follow her to her "haunted" home and kill the two witch hunters waiting there.
  3. Take Lussi's key and read the warrant carried by the witch hunters.
  4. Find Wallter as two witch hunters close in on him, and kill them.
  5. Take Wallter's key.
  6. Enter Fritz's house and climb to the second floor.
  7. Light the torch beside the stairs to open a secret compartment.
  8. Take Fritz's key and his letter about the treasure.
  9. Open the safe with all three keys.
  10. Talk to the bandits who call out from beside a house with a large flower garden.
  11. Use Witcher Senses to track the smell of blood and sewer muck.
  12. Follow the missing man's trail to a wounded witch hunter.
  13. Decide whether to hand him to the bandits or to kill them.

Choices

The bandits' "companion" is really a witch hunter who burned their fisstech. Geralt can leave him to the bandits and walk away. That choice pays 100 orens.

Geralt can also kill the bandits. The wounded witch hunter then asks for help. If Geralt agrees, both are taken to Vilmerius Hospital. If he refuses, the witch hunter is left to die. Siding with the witch hunter pays nothing beyond the bandits' loot.
