Witch Hunters
The witch hunters are fanatics who hunt mages in Novigrad and across the North. King Radovid V backs them, and they work hand in hand with the Church of the Eternal Fire. The people they catch burn at the stake. Their leader is Caleb Menge.
Targets
Mages are the main prey of the witch hunters. Nonhumans and anyone else suspected of using magic face the pyre too. With Radovid's support, the persecution spreads through the whole North. Public burnings take place in the main square of Novigrad.
Caleb Menge
Caleb Menge commands the Temple Guard of the Church of the Eternal Fire and leads the witch hunters. He rose to power by exposing his superior, Chappelle, as a doppler in disguise. In the main quest Pyres of Novigrad, Menge burns that doppler in the main square. His headquarters is the Witch Hunter Barracks Outpost in Novigrad. Menge dies in the quest Count Reuven's Treasure.
Gear
The Witch Hunter's Armor is the reward from the quest Master Armorers. The Witch Hunter's Sword is a steel sword made by a blacksmith from its diagram.
