Scavenger Hunt: Viper School Gear is a treasure hunt in White Orchard. It leads to the diagrams for the Serpentine steel sword and silver sword, once worn by Viper School witchers. Finding either diagram starts the hunt. Along the way, Geralt learns the sad story of Kolgrim, a fellow witcher. Kolgrim was wrongly jailed for kidnapping a beekeeper's son. He died while trying to escape.

Scavenger Hunt: Viper School Gear map location:
- Travel to the White Orchard cemetery.
- Kill the wraith outside the chapel.
- Enter the chapel and go down to the crypt below.
- Kill the wraith again in the crypt.
- Loot Kolgrim's remains for the Serpentine Silver Sword diagram.
- Read Kolgrim's letter.
- Travel to the bandit camp at the old watchtower near the Ransacked Village.
- Clear the bandit camp.
- Open the chest in the tower for the Serpentine Steel Sword diagram.
- Read the report found with it.
