History

---

White Orchard was a Temerian village until the Battle of White Orchard. After that battle it lost its independence. The Nilfgaardian Empire then took the region for itself.

Nilfgaardian troops now hold the Nilfgaardian Garrison, a fortress that guards the main river crossing. Captain Peter Saar Gwynleve commands it.

Geography

---

The Ismena River flows through the village and on to the north. Around it lie orchards, farms, a grain mill and a sawmill. Several bridges cross the river. The countryside still bears the marks of war. Burned villages and old battlefields stretch toward the horizon.

Story

---

Geralt and Vesemir stop at the White Orchard Inn while searching for Yennefer. A Griffin has been attacking the locals. The commander of the garrison knows where Yennefer went. He will share it only in return for the Griffin's head. With help from the herbalist Tomira and the hunter Mislav, Geralt tracks the beast down. He learns that Nilfgaardian soldiers had killed its mate.

After the hunt, Yennefer rides up to the inn with a Nilfgaardian escort. She takes Geralt with her to Vizima, where Emperor Emhyr var Emreis waits for him.
