The Emmentaler is a Relic steel sword from the base game with 3 rune slots. It rolls +1-20 fire damage and +1-12% Igni sign intensity. It comes only through the secondary quest Of Dairy and Darkness in Novigrad.
Both bonuses lean on fire. The fire damage adds to its sword hits, and the Igni bonus makes Igni hit harder. That suits a signs build that uses Igni. Each copy rolls its own values inside these ranges.

The Emmentaler Map Location and Quest Guide
The pin marks the vault at the end of Aeramas' Dungeon, the hidden laboratory under Aeramas' Abandoned Manor east of Oxenfurt. The relic The Emmentaler waits there at the end of Of Dairy and Darkness, a secondary quest. Both fire crystals beside the vault's barrier must burn before it drops.
- Buy the lizard figurine from the shop in Gildorf, Novigrad.
- Go to Aeramas' Abandoned Manor east of Oxenfurt and activate the portal on the main floor.
- Cross the cheese maze below. Follow the cheeses under glass cases, since the others give off toxic fumes.
- Climb the broken stairs and use the floor tiles in the upper room to open the next portal.
- Swim through the flooded chamber, take the northern passage and climb up to Aeramas' laboratory.
- Kill the foglet, then take the bull figurine and Aeramas' notes from the desk.
- Use the portal by the fire brazier to reach the vault.
- Cast Igni on both pyramid stones beside the magic barrier to bring it down.
- Take The Emmentaler from the vault.
