Rift Crystals

Rift crystals are the currency of the Rift. The Arisen spends them to hire pawns of a higher level and to buy goods at the Pawn Guild. The current total can be checked from the Pause Menu.

Earning Rift Crystals

The main pawn earns rift crystals for its master each time another Arisen hires it in another world. Side quests pay out rift crystals too. Activating a Forgotten Riftstone for the first time adds more. Defeated enemies and treasure chests sometimes hold them as well. Rift fragments and similar finds also turn into rift crystals when picked up, and the Refulgence augment raises the amount they give.

Spending Rift Crystals

Hiring a pawn whose level is above the Arisen's costs rift crystals, and the price grows with the level gap. Pawns at or below the Arisen's level join for free. At the Vernworth Pawn Guild, Neomith takes rift crystals for Rift Incense, the Art of Metamorphosis and a selection of glasses.
