Dre'Quan Priest is a young, aspiring music mogul in Vice City. He has always been more of a hustler than a gangster. He once dealt on the streets to make ends meet, but music was always the goal. Dre'Quan now runs the record label Only Raw Records with backing from Boobie Ike. His big signing is the rap duo Real Dimez.
Dancers are like my A&Rs. If the record's a hit, DJs gonna be spinnin' it.
Story
Dre'Quan sold drugs on the street to pay his way. Even in those days, breaking into the music business was the goal. For Dre'Quan, music is a lasting passion rather than a way to make money. For a time he booked the acts that played at Boobie's strip club, the Jack of Hearts. Signing the Real Dimez may soon bring those club bookings to an end. Dre'Quan now has his sights set on the wider Vice City music scene. He and Boobie share one goal for the label: a genuine hit record.
As the head of Only Raw Records, Dre'Quan runs the label day to day. In the label's recording studio, he stands beside the man at the mixing desk. He poses with the Real Dimez, a hand resting on each of their shoulders. In one scene, Roxy drives while Dre'Quan rides beside her in the passenger seat. In the club, he stands with his arms crossed and a drink in his hand.
Dre'Quan also crosses paths with Jason Duval. The two of them look at something on a phone together.
Relationships
Boobie Ike is Dre'Quan's partner and the money behind Only Raw Records. The partnership with Dre'Quan is the venture Boobie cares about most. Boobie and Dre'Quan step out of a car together outside the Jack of Hearts. Bae-Luxe and Roxy, the Real Dimez, are signed to Dre'Quan's label. Jason Duval spends time with Dre'Quan.
Location
Dre'Quan works in Vice City and wants to make his name across its music scene. Vice City is a coastal city of white beaches and pastel art deco hotels. Its lively neighbourhoods include Ocean Beach and Little Cuba. His label, Only Raw Records, has its studio in the city.
