Boobie Ike is a local legend in Vice City, and he acts like one. He turned his years on the streets into a legitimate business empire. That empire covers real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. Boobie is all smiles until the talk turns to business. His greatest passion is Only Raw Records, a record label he backs with Dre'Quan Priest.
The club money pay for the studio, and the drug money pay for it all.
Story
Boobie came up through the street life of Vice City. He is one of the few who turned that life into lasting, legal success. His strip club, the Jack of Hearts, is one of his best-known businesses. The club is a busy place, full of customers and dancers. Behind the scenes, drug money quietly funds his legal businesses.
Boobie can look like a man who only cares about himself. His real investment, though, is his partnership with Dre'Quan at Only Raw Records. What Boobie and Dre'Quan still need is a hit record.
Boobie also hands out work to Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. He sends the pair to collect goods from a dealer named Raymond. To reach Raymond, Jason and Lucia walk through gang territory and ride up in a lift. Raymond runs a drug lab inside a rundown apartment building. During the deal, Raymond's partner Ernesto calls to warn that the police are on their way. Ernesto has betrayed Raymond to the police. A task force led by the officer Mendez raids the building moments later. The errand turns into a gunfight before Jason and Lucia escape with the goods.
Boobie is at home in his club, surrounded by dancers and cash.
Relationships
Dre'Quan Priest is Boobie's partner in the music business. Dre'Quan once booked the acts for Boobie's strip club. Boobie and Dre'Quan step out of a car together outside the Jack of Hearts. The rap duo Real Dimez is signed to Only Raw Records, the label Boobie backs. Raymond is a dealer who supplies goods to Boobie. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos carry out jobs for Boobie.
Location
Boobie runs all of his businesses in Vice City. The city is still the sun and fun capital of America. Its neighbourhoods range from the art deco hotels of Ocean Beach to the busy streets of Little Cuba. Vice City also has a cruise ship port and a bustling flea market. His club, the Jack of Hearts, and his label, Only Raw Records, both operate in the city.
