The Irkngthand War Axe of Fire is an enchanted Dwarven war axe from the Fishing Creation. It lies in a chest at Bronze Water Cave. The chest rises from the water at the end of Beneath Bronze Waters.

Weapon Enchantment

The axe burns the target for 20 points of fire damage. Targets that are on fire take extra damage.

Any weapon enchantment can be placed on an Irkngthand War Axe of Fire at an arcane enchanter.

Irkngthand War Axe of Fire map location:

The Irkngthand War Axe of Fire lies in a chest that rises from the water at Bronze Water Cave. Viriya starts Beneath Bronze Waters at the Riften Fishery once The Ultimate Feast is done.

1. Speak to Viriya at the Riften Fishery and take the Bounty: Dwarven Investigation.
2. Travel to Bronze Water Cave and read the fisherman's journal by the entrance.
3. Find the Dwarven Fishing Rod Schematic in Alftand Ruined Tower, past a fire trap.
4. Bring the schematic to Calcelmo in Understone Keep, Markarth.
5. Wait 24 hours, then speak to Calcelmo again to collect the Dwarven Fishing Rod.
6. Fish up the two aetherium dynamo cores at Bronze Water Cave.
7. Place the cores in the dynamo actuators.
8. Open the chest that rises from the water and take the axe.

Upgrades

An Irkngthand War Axe of Fire is improved at a grindstone with one Dwarven Metal Ingot per improvement. The Dwarven Smithing perk doubles the improvement, so each quality tier needs less Smithing skill. An enchanted copy can only be improved with the Arcane Blacksmith perk.

Weapon Levels

Some weapons in Skyrim are Levelled. The power of a levelled weapon is based on your charcters level when you get them. Some get stronger in both physical and magical aspects, while others only improve their enchantments. These items don't get better as your character levels up.
