A Midnight Clear is a Hearts of Stone secondary quest. It opens at the wedding at the end of Dead Man's Party, once Vlodimir is back in the land of the dead. Shani sits alone at a table, sad that Geralt will soon leave again. Master Mirror suggests that flowers or a good liqueur might cheer her up.

A Midnight Clear map location:
- Stay at the wedding instead of leaving.
- Read Shani's character entry in the journal to learn what she likes.
- Use Witcher Senses to find something that will cheer Shani up.
- Pick the rowan branch on the bush up the stairs near the ladder.
- Give Shani the present.
- Walk with Shani by the river.

Choices
Shani's journal entry says she loves rowan blossoms. A rowan branch delights her, and she plaits it into her hair. Other flowers also open the way to a romance. Geralt can bring her a bottle of mead or other drink instead. On a romantic night, the two take a boat out on the lake and stay together until dawn.
If Geralt leaves the wedding, Shani is left to work through her mood alone, and the quest ends.
