Auberon Muircetach, also called the King of the Alders, was the ruler of Tir ná Lia. That far-off world is the home of Avallac'h and the Wild Hunt. He is long dead by the time of the game and appears only in a dream vision during the quest Through Time and Space.
Lore
Auberon was the king of the Aen Elle elves. At the time of his death, he was exhausted and bitter after more than six hundred and fifty years of living. Eredin Bréacc Glas murdered him in secret and then declared himself king.
Ge'els, one of the most powerful Aen Elle, enjoyed Auberon's trust. He stayed devoted to the old king's memory.
Story
In Through Time and Space, Avallac'h hopes to turn Ge'els against Eredin. Geralt and Avallac'h bring Ge'els from the world of the Aen Elle to Novigrad. There the dreamer Corinne Tilly opens a vision of the moments before Auberon's death. The vision proves that Eredin murdered the old king.
Ge'els cannot ignore the truth. He withdraws his support from Eredin and reveals how the Wild Hunt can be beaten.
Relationships
Ge'els was loyal to Auberon above all, and the truth about his death turns him against the new king. Eredin is Auberon's murderer and successor.
