Wild Hunt

The Wild Hunt is an elite cavalry of Aen Elle elves from another world. Common folk see them as spectral riders in the sky and a dark omen. Their king, Eredin Bréacc Glas, hunts Ciri for the power of her Elder Blood. The Hunt is the main enemy of The Witcher 3.

Story

The Hunt travels between worlds to seize captives and carry them off as slaves. Ciri's Elder Blood lets her cross between worlds, and Eredin wants that power. Long before the game, the Hunt took Geralt in exchange for Yennefer's freedom. His time riding with the Hunt ended when he got away.

The Hunt follows Ciri across the Continent and finally attacks Kaer Morhen to take her. Imlerith kills Vesemir in that battle. Imlerith later dies at Bald Mountain, where he joins the Crones' sabbath. Caranthir and Eredin fall in the final battle with the Hunt.
