Eredin Bréacc Glas is an elf of the Aen Elle and the King of the Wild Hunt. He hunts Ciri across the world to take the power of her Elder Blood. The Hunt attacks Kaer Morhen under his command. Geralt fights him as a boss on the deck of the Naglfar, off the coast of Undvik in Skellige.
Lore
For a long time no one knew the name of the King of the Wild Hunt or the face behind his frightful mask. In truth, the Wild Hunt is an elite cavalry brigade from the world of the Aen Elle, the Alder Folk. Eredin is their ambitious and ruthless king. He travels by secret paths through the cold emptiness between his world and this one. He captures victims here and takes them back to his homeland as slaves.
Some years ago the Wild Hunt took Yennefer captive. Geralt chased the Hunt to win her back. In the end he struck a deal with Eredin: his own soul in exchange for Yennefer's freedom.
According to Avallac'h, Eredin is to blame for the death of Auberon Muircetach, the previous ruler of the Aen Elle. If the Alder Folk learned of it, the truth would not make him popular.
Story
The current target of the Hunt is Ciri. Eredin wants to harness her power for his own ends, and Geralt is the only obstacle in his way. Ciri explains why. The homeland of the Aen Elle faces destruction. Eredin is a warrior and a conqueror by nature, so he chose the simplest answer: seize this world instead. Ciri's power would let him open the gates for a full-scale invasion.
Eredin trusts in his magic and in the skill of his Riders. He launches a frontal attack on Kaer Morhen and comes close to victory. The Hunt breaks into the keep, and a blast of the White Frost freezes the defenders. Only Ciri's unleashed power forces Eredin to fall back. Everyone knows he will learn from this defeat, and that his next attack would be impossible to withstand.
Geralt and his allies set a trap instead. They use the Sunstone to draw Eredin's ship, the Naglfar, to the shores of Undvik. Nilfgaardian soldiers and Skellige warriors wait for the Hunt there. On that day Eredin seems unstoppable and cuts down everyone in his way, until he meets Geralt. The two fight their last duel on the deck of the Naglfar, and the battle carries them through portals and back again. The fight is long and hard, but Geralt's blade strikes true in the end. So dies Eredin Bréacc Glas, King of the Wild Hunt.
With his dying breath, Eredin says that Avallac'h tricked them both. He claims the Sage set them against each other and made off with Ciri.
Relationships
Imlerith and Caranthir are Eredin's chief officers in the Hunt. Ge'els is one of his most powerful allies. Avallac'h is his enemy. Ciri is the prize he hunts, and Geralt stands between them.
