Contract: Woodland Beast is a witcher contract in the woods outside Novigrad. A beast has been attacking Redanian supply wagons. The captain of the nearby guardpost puts a bounty on its head. The "beast" turns out to be a band of Scoia'tael elves.

Contract: Woodland Beast map location:
- Take the contract from the notice board near the Border Post.
- Talk to the commander of the guardpost by the bridge to Novigrad.
- Examine the site where the wagons were attacked with Witcher Senses.
- Follow the tracks with Witcher Senses.
- Kill the drowners by the river.
- Follow the tracks up the hill until an elf archer stops Geralt.
- Ask to speak with the commander and hand over the weapons.
- Talk to the Scoia'tael commander and decide the elves' fate.
- Return to the guardpost captain for the reward.

Choices
Geralt can kill the elves. The captain then pays a few crowns and gives Geralt a Letter of Safe Conduct.
Geralt can also leave the elves in peace. They give Geralt a few gifts, such as silk, armor, wolf hides and herbs. Back at the guardpost, Geralt can tell the captain about the elves or lie that there was no monster. Telling the truth earns the Letter of Safe Conduct, but the elf commander later ambushes Geralt for the betrayal. Only the truth earns the Letter of Safe Conduct.
