Donar an Hindar is the jarl of Hindarsfjall and the eldest of the jarls of Skellige. Few jarls are as honored and obeyed as he is. Geralt meets him at King Bran's wake in Kaer Trolde, during the quest The King is Dead - Long Live the King.
Lore
Despite his great age, Donar still leads his clan himself. He speaks for it at every official gathering. The only person who can break his calm is Madman Lugos, whose clan has long feuded with the an Hindars.
Donar's home is on Hindarsfjall, the island that is also home to Freya's temple. As befits a neighbor of the gods, he is famed for his wise opinions and his piety. His piety does not reach the gods of the Continent, though. In his youth he often raided their rich temples.
Relationships
Otrygg an Hindar is Donar's grandson and heir. Madman Lugos is his old rival.
