Type	Character
Affiliation	Clan Drummond; Jarl
Location	Skellige
DLC	Base game
Also known as	Madman Lugos

Madman Lugos is the jarl of Clan Drummond in Skellige. He is famous for his furious temper. Geralt stands trial before him in the secondary quest Stranger in a Strange Land.

Lore

---

Madman Lugos is nothing special in size or strength. Even so, most men in the isles step aside when they see him coming. He is forever feuding with his neighbors. He has even picked shouting matches with Donar an Hindar, a jarl known for his calm.

His greatest rival is Crach an Craite. Lugos accuses Crach of stealing part of his lands, and in his reckoning those lands cover all of Ard Skellig. The feud between their clans goes back hundreds of years. Lugos hates Crach with a passion. Only the laws of Skellige and the greater power of Clan an Craite hold him back.

Story

---

In Stranger in a Strange Land, Geralt is attacked in the village of Arinbjorn and kills his attackers in self-defense. No witnesses back his story, so he is charged with starting the brawl. Geralt hands himself over to the jarl. Lugos finds him guilty, then pays his blood price for him at once. In return, Lugos wants Geralt to help his son, Blueboy Lugos, in the Cave of Dreams.

Lugos may seem mad, but he can plan as coolly as the sanest of men. By freeing the witcher, he gains a debt that Geralt can repay. If Geralt has already helped Blueboy in the cave, Lugos frees him to repay that help instead.

Blueboy dies in the massacre at the feast in Kaer Trolde. If Cerys or Hjalmar an Craite takes the throne, Lugos cannot bear it. His own son is dead, and the son or daughter of Crach an Craite now rules Skellige. In The Sunstone, Geralt finds Lugos arguing with the druid Ermion. Lugos refuses to listen to reason and attacks. Geralt fights Lugos and his men, and the fight can only end one way.

Relationships

---

Blueboy Lugos is his only son and heir. Rumor says Lugos punished the boy harshly for every failure. Crach an Craite is his sworn enemy.
