The Glintstone Scarab is a helm in Elden Ring. It is a mid-game find in the Academy of Raya Lucaria.
The Glintstone Scarab is a blue-green scarab worn directly on the head, modeled on the scarabs that roll clumps of sorcery during their labors. It replaces a real helm with a glittering beetle and is found in a chest guarded by sorcerers in the Raya Lucaria Academy. Its effect lowers the FP cost of sorceries by 15%, while its negative defense makes the wearer take a little more damage. It suits sorcerers who want to cast longer and can afford a small loss of defense.
Stats
It brings 6 poise at a weight of 5.1. It also sorceries cost 15% less FP.
The Glintstone Scarab makes a deliberate risk-for-utility trade: every damage negation is negative, around -5 across the board, so the wearer takes more damage in exchange for sorceries costing 15% less FP. It still carries 42 immunity at 5.1 weight and 6 poise. The Incantation, Ash-of-War, Cerulean Tear and Crimson Tear Scarabs share the same stats and change only the discount.
How to Get Glintstone Scarab Guide
The Glintstone Scarab is found inside a chest in the tower where the Giant Silver Tear spawns and drops onto the ramp, located beyond the Debate Parlor Site of Grace. The area is accessible through the courtyard containing Moongrum, Carian Knight. Pass through the south gate onto a small balcony with a Glintstone Sorcerer and Wandering Nobles and follow the eastern wall. Jump over the balcony railing onto a small ledge, follow the path to an alcove, and climb the ladder. The chest is at the top, though it is guarded by 3 Glintstone Sorcerers and a Mad Pumpkin Head.
