A Story of Fire is one of the first Flame quests in the Springlands. The Flame speaks of Ancient Obelisks that hold hidden truths, and one of them is tied to the Flame itself. Reading it reveals the locations of the region's Flame Shrines, the main source of Sparks.
Walkthrough
The quest step by step:
- Finish Flame Altar And Base Improvements (1) to unlock the quest.
- Follow the trail that leads away from the Spider Crypt. The Ancient Obelisk stands at its end.
- Interact with the obelisk to read it.
- The Flame Shrines of the Springlands now appear on the map.

Prerequisites
This quest opens after Flame Altar And Base Improvements (1). That first Flame quest asks for Sparks from Flame Sanctums and Flame Shrines. The Sparks then strengthen the Flame at the Flame Altar. A stronger Flame lets the player push deeper into the Shroud and allows more bases. After that, the Flame speaks of Ancient Obelisks, stones that hold hidden truths about the world. This quest leads to the obelisk tied to the Flame itself.
