The Flame Altar has several functions in Enshrouded. It acts as a fast-travel beacon, it's your home base, it guides you on your journey. As you advance in the game and level up your character, you'll also need to enhance the Flame Altar to progress in to higher level areas of Deadly Shroud. This guide will walk you through the process of strengthening and upgrading your Flame Altar in Enshrouded.

Journal Entry: Place this Flame Altar above the Shroud to mark your home. Build inside the marked area around the Flame Altar.

How to Upgrade the Flame Altar in Enshrouded

There are two ways to enhance your Flame Altar. First, you can strengthen the Flame itself. This involves gathering materials, which become harder to find as your Flame grows stronger. Strengthening your Flame offers various benefits, like improving your character's attributes, extending the time you can stay in the Shroud and increasing the level of the Shroud you can access. Another option is to upgrade your Flame Altar directly. This requires Shroud Cores and allows you to expand your home base, giving you more space to build intricate settlements.
