The Shroud is a fog that consumes part of Embervale. This guide will explain how the Shroud works and the differences between blue Shroud and how to pass through Deadly Shroud without dying.
Blue Shroud
You can freely walk through areas of Blue Shroud. Once you enter a timer will appear at the top of your screen to indicate how long you can stay there without risk, the length of the shroud timer depends on how strong your Flame is. You can use the following Tips and tricks to survive the blue Shroud:
- Each level upgrade of the Flame Altar will increase the time you can spend in the shroud.
- You can use a Shroud Survival Flask Potion to further increase the time limit in the Shroud.
- You can find flasks within the Shroud that glow red, these can be interacted with to increase your Shroud time limit. They will reset each time you log into the game.
Deadly Shroud Mechanics
Some areas of the map are consumed by Red Shroud that will instantly drain your Shroud Timer killing you as soon as it reaches zero. When you enter these areas a warning will appear on screen telling you that you have entered Deadly Shroud. To travel through deadly Shroud you must upgrade your Flame Altar to the required level. Each time you strengthen the flame of the altar it will unlock new areas of deadly shroud to explore. The deadly Shroud functions as a progression stopper until you have upgraded your Flame Altar.
