Bloodthirst is the other Tsaesci blade from the same Creation as Dawnfang and Duskfang, and the more aggressive of the two. It drinks health, swings faster than a normal sword and leaves its target bleeding. It first appeared in Blades.
Weapon Enchantment
Absorbs 15 points of health, increases weapon speed by 7 per cent, and adds bleed damage on top. The speed bonus stacks oddly: dual wielding it with anything else speeds up the right hand only, which is a known bug rather than a feature.
Where to Find the Bloodthirst
- A note read during the A Soul Divided quest starts the miscellaneous quest that leads to it.
- You therefore need to be working through the Dawnfang and Duskfang questline first.
Smithing Guide
Tempering it needs the Arcane Blacksmith perk, because the weapon is enchanted. The material perk below doubles what each improvement is worth.

Weapon Levels
Some weapons in Skyrim are Levelled. The power of a levelled weapon is based on your charcters level when you get them. Some get stronger in both physical and magical aspects, while others only improve their enchantments. These items don't get better as your character levels up.
