Contract: Devil by the Well is a witcher contract in White Orchard. A peasant named Odolan wants someone to chase off a phantom. The phantom haunts an old well in the abandoned village. The devil turns out to be a noonwraith, the ghost of a young woman who died a cruel death.

Contract: Devil by the Well map location:

1. Take the contract from the notice board in White Orchard.
2. Ask Odolan about the contract.
3. Travel to the well in the Abandoned Village.
4. Find evidence of the spirit's presence with Witcher Senses.
5. Read the entry about noonwraiths in the Bestiary.
6. Search the eastern hut and read the diary from the ruined house.
7. Follow the drag marks with Witcher Senses.
8. Examine the well and the woman's body on the rope.
9. Dive into the well and find the bracelet that belonged to the dead woman.
10. Find a way out of the cave and leave it.
11. Light a fire near the well to burn the noonwraith's bones and bracelet.
12. Defeat the noonwraith.
13. Take a trophy from the noonwraith.
14. Return to Odolan for a reward.

Choices

Odolan offers a purse of crowns once the noonwraith is gone. Geralt can take the coin. If Geralt refuses it, Odolan gives him an Amethyst instead.
