Gemmerian Steel Sword is a steel sword from the base game in a Common loot variant and a crafted Magic variant, each with 1 rune slot. The crafted variant deals 243.4-297 damage at level 30. Blacksmiths in Novigrad, Oxenfurt, Skellige and Toussaint sell it. The crafted variant is a late-game sword, while the Common one rolls its level on the drop.
The crafted Magic variant adds 2 random Magic effects, and each copy rolls its own.

How to Get Gemmerian Steel Sword
- Common: Buy it from a blacksmith in Novigrad, Oxenfurt, Skellige or Toussaint (but not at Ardaiso Quarry), or from the merchant at the Isolated Hut on Hindarsfjall. Nilfgaardian soldiers killed during An Eye for an Eye drop it, and it is also rare random loot.
- Magic (crafted): Find the diagram at a random diagram location, or buy it from a blacksmith in Novigrad, Oxenfurt or Skellige or the Isolated Hut merchant. A journeyman blacksmith crafts it.
Notes
In NG+ the crafted variant needs level 30 plus the NG+ starting level, and its damage rises by 7.2-8.8 per level.
